Electricity Bill Credit

As part of The Pines Wind Farm Project, every household in the Oberon LGA, Triangle Flat, Bald Ridge and Abercrombie River is entitled to a $100 annual Electricity Bill Credit (terms and conditions apply).

If the project later goes into construction, the annual Electricity Bill Credit will be increased to $250 per year during construction and operations for the life of the project*. CPI will apply to this $250 payment from the start of construction.

If you live in the Oberon Local Government Area (LGA) or the suburbs of Triangle Flat, Bald Ridge and Abercrombie River, and receive a yearly, quarterly or monthly electricity bill for your home you are eligible for annual Electricity Bill Credit payments during investigations, planning and approvals, construction and future operations of The Pines Wind Farm Proposal.

Why are we offering the $100-$250 Electricity Bill Credit?

We understand the importance of delivering targeted local benefits in the communities that we are working in. That is why The Pines Wind Farm proposal includes shared revenues through our Community Benefit Package, the Nearby Neighbour Program, and these Electricity Bill Credit payments.

Am I eligible?

If you live in the Oberon LGA, Triangle Flat, Bald Ridge or Abercrombie River, and receive a yearly, quarterly or monthly electricity bill for your home you are eligible for annual Electricity Bill Credit payments during investigations, planning and approvals, construction and future operations phases of The Pines Wind Farm proposal. How much will I receive?

Eligible households will receive $100 per year during the planning and approvals phase and up to the start of construction.

From the start of construction, eligible households will receive $250 per annum for the life of the windfarm . CPI will apply to this $250 payment from the start of construction.

How will the payment show up on my next bill?

Once your eligibility is confirmed, a payment will be made directly to your household electricity account via BPAY. You will see this on your next bill as a credit.
